Nigerian music legend, 2face Idibia has officially changed his name to 2Baba.
The singer took to his Twitter handle to announce the name change. “Guys happy every! My handle is still the same but name is now @official2baba one love always,” he wrote.
The name change has been effected on all his social media accounts, making him lose his verification badges.
He also added that his new name follows with brand new music. “This is the season of New.New year,new name,new song,still me #codedtinz,” he said.
2baba, born Innocent Ujah Idibia, is one of the most successful African musician of all time. He has received several prestigious awards, including one MTV Europe Music Award and one World Music Award.
